Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care for progressive care unit patients
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry and patient vital signs
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and safe discharge
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition and emergencies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of PCU or progressive care experience
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Acute patient assessment and prioritization
• IV medication administration and infusion pump experience
• Proficient electronic medical record documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Time management and the ability to thrive in fast-paced settings
