Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients, using sound assessment and judgment
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, ventilator settings, and bedside monitors to guide care
• Implement ACLS and BLS protocols when indicated and respond effectively to emergent situations
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and maintain accurate medication documentation
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Follow infection prevention, fit testing, and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Complete Prime Core Competencies, specialty skills checklists, and required competency exams

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys verification expected)
• Minimum 2+ years of ICU nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
• DCI/BVP credentialing as listed
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screening including drug screen, fit test, and health clearance
• Willingness to work night shifts and every other weekend as scheduled

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; graduation from an accredited nursing program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care nursing knowledge and ICU patient assessment
• Proficiency with ACLS and BLS algorithms (AHA standards)
• Familiarity with DCI/BVP processes and Nursys license verification
• Comfort working 12-hour night shifts and managing fatigue and handoffs
• Competency with competency-based exams and Prime documentation
• Understanding of infection control, immunization requirements, and fit testing
• Clear clinical communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
