Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert cardiac and telemetry nursing care, continuously monitoring patients and responding to changes
• Interpret telemetry and perform timely interventions to ensure patient safety
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic EMR — charting that tells the story of great care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and transitions
• Float to Med-Surg units as needed and deliver high-quality care across patient populations
• Respond to clinical emergencies calmly and effectively, following unit protocols
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Ohio) — ready to practice
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• Current Epic EMR proficiency is required — no refresher or 1:1 training options
• Minimum 3 years current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience (must be able to read telemetry and will be tested on day one)
• Willingness to work every weekend as part of the schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and clear communication skills

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac care expertise
• Stepdown and Med-Surg clinical skills (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory, Observation)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms confidently
• Experience working in fast-paced environments, including ED/Med-Surg boarders and float pool settings
