Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert critical care to complex adult ICU patients, including ventilated and post-CABG cases
• Monitor hemodynamics closely and manage titration of vasoactive medications under physician guidance
• Provide safe ventilator management and advanced respiratory care in collaboration with respiratory therapy
• Perform thorough bedside shift reports and maintain up-to-date whiteboard communication for seamless patient care
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and follow unit policies and attendance guidelines
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including intensivists, to implement plans of care
• Support the unit’s high-acuity caseload, participating in procedures and rapid response as needed

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years ICU experience (unit prefers 2+ years)
• Current BLS required
• Current ACLS required
• Proven experience with ventilator management and caring for post-CABG patients
• Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and critical care interventions
• CVICU, ECMO, heart transplant or CABG experience strongly preferred
• Meditech documentation experience preferred

• Cardiac ICU (CVICU) workflows and ECMO fundamentals
• CPR and advanced cardiac life support protocols
