Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to med-surg and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alarms and changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to policies
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly in the chart
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education to support recovery
• Maintain a safe, organized environment and escalate concerns when necessary

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license in the state of practice or ability to obtain one prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, with med-surg and/or telemetry experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and responding to cardiac changes
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and basic EKG rhythm recognition
• Med-surgical nursing fundamentals and patient assessment
• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Excellent patient and family education skills
