Surgical Tech - Operating Room

Location: Dickinson, ND

Start Date: 07-20-2026

End Date: 10-19-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 9-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM; plus required call shifts (1-2 weeknights per week and 1 weekend per month)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment for a variety of surgeries
Assist surgeons during orthopedic, OB/GYN, and general procedures
Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment like the MAKO robot and C-arm
Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures
Participate in on-call rotation for weeknights and weekends to support emergency surgeries
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care

Qualifications

Active BLS certification
North Dakota UAP certification required
CST or NCCT certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of OR tech experience
Experience with total joints and C-sections required
Familiarity with MAKO robot a plus
Ability to pass fit testing for N95 respirators

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control
Proficient in surgical instrument handling and setup
Experience with MEDITECH charting system
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
