Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, typically 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (start and end times may vary)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Administer chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood products, iron, and fluids via infusion therapy
Perform various injections for outpatient infusion patients
Monitor patients during infusion treatments and manage any adverse reactions
Collaborate with a team of 6-7 RNs to care for approximately 50 patients per day
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC charting system
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and unit policies

Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
Minimum 2 years of experience in infusion therapy
Chemotherapy certification highly preferred
BLS certification required (AHA)
Ability to pass an open-book exam on skills learned during orientation
Driver's license required for submittal to verify distance from facility (50-mile radius)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in infusion therapy including chemo, antibiotics, blood, iron, and fluids
Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
Proficiency in EPIC charting system
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting
