Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinate patient transfers across multiple facilities, ensuring seamless transitions of care
Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate critical clinical information to receiving providers
Collaborate with physicians and specialists to secure appropriate bed placements and accepting providers
Utilize multiple computer applications to manage transfers and document clinical data
For LVNs, facilitate refer outs to facilities outside the Dignity Health network

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU, ED, or Transfer Center
Active RN or LVN license in California
ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA)
Strong critical care assessment and clinical judgment skills
Proficiency with Cerner or EPIC, TeleTracking, and Google applications

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and clinical judgment
Ability to follow algorithms and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent customer service and professionalism
Quick learning and adaptability to new systems
Strong typing and computer skills (Cerner, EPIC, TeleTracking, Tiger Connect)
