Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Start Date: 08-10-2026

End Date: 11-09-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with weekend rotation (3 full weekends per 13-week contract)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology assessments and treatments to patients with neuro, critical care, and trauma diagnoses in an acute care setting
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
Participate in weekend coverage as needed, earning comp days

Qualifications

Active Colorado Speech-Language Pathology license
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
BLS certification from AHA
Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
Proficiency with EPIC charting system

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in evaluating and treating neuro, critical care, and trauma patients
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of 7-8 patients per day
