Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Monitor and titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy and nursing aides
Float to PCU or MedSurg when needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass open-book exam demonstrating competency

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Previous travel experience preferred but not required
Willingness to float to other units as needed
Driver's license required for radius verification

Education

Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in EPIC charting system
Ability to titrate cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of ventilator management and troubleshooting
