Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible shifts, typically 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (afternoon/evening), varies based on facility needs

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure resident safety
Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents
Engage residents in activities and social interactions to promote well-being
Document care provided accurately and timely

Qualifications

Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
Current CPR certification preferred
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Compassionate and patient demeanor with a passion for senior care
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be at least 18 years of age

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing assistant principles and practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods
Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans
Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
