Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, rotating weekends (4 per month) and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency and trauma care in a Level 1 Trauma Center
Triage and stabilize patients with a wide range of acute conditions
Monitor telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient status
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, midlevels, and support staff
Perform skills like foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath access (after SIMs Lab pass)
Float between four ER facilities as needed to ensure coverage

Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona (or compact) – willing to wait for license
Minimum 2 years of ER experience, including at least 6 months in a Level 1 Trauma center
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (ENPC not accepted in lieu of PALS)
TNCC and ATCN preferred but not required
Must have reliable transportation and be able to float between facilities
Natural hair color, no facial piercings, and men must be clean-shaven for fit test

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in emergency nursing and trauma care
Proficient in telemetry reading and Cerner EMR
Strong critical thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable with procedures like central line dressing changes and port-a-cath insertion
