Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement respiratory therapy treatments and evaluate patient responses
• Conduct diagnostic testing including ABGs, PFTs, EKGs, and bronchoscopy
• Transport patients within the hospital or between facilities safely
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to revise therapy plans as needed
• Provide on-call coverage and work flexible hours including overtime

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP)
• Current CRT or RRT certification through the NBRC
• At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (preferred)
• Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA)
• Prior experience with electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
• Valid driver's license and ability to commute within 60-mile radius

Education

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (e.g., CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in respiratory therapy procedures and patient assessment
• Proficiency in diagnostic testing: ABG, PFT, EKG, bronchoscopy, pulse oximetry
• Strong skills in care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Comfortable with EPIC charting system and electronic medical records
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent communication and patient transport skills
