Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill patients in a 33-bed ICU
Monitor and manage ventilators, titrate cardiac and sedation drips
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to alarms
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RT, Nurse Aides, and Tele Techs
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass an open-book exam to ensure competency

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
2 years of recent ICU experience required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required at submittal (for distance verification)
Willingness to adhere to facility policies (e.g., no artificial nails)
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

ICU nursing and telemetry monitoring
Ventilator management and troubleshooting
Titrating drips (cardiac, insulin, sedation)
EPIC charting system proficiency
Reading and interpreting cardiac strips
Trauma nursing (Level 2 trauma center)
