Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments for acute care patients
• Manage a caseload of primarily evaluations, with expectation of one completed eval per hour
• Collaborate with rehab aides and PTAs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient progress using Meditech EMR
• Cover acute care units including trauma, telemetry, ortho, surgical, critical care, neuro, oncology, and general medical
• Adapt treatment plans for a diverse adult population, including older teens

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Texas or compact privilege
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience, but new grads with strong clinicals are welcome
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced Level III trauma center environment
• Must be willing to precept as needed and alternate holiday schedules

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Meditech EMR or ability to learn quickly
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to perform evals efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with interdisciplinary team
• Adaptability to float between Bryan and College Station hospitals as needed
