Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 3b NICU
Attend high-risk deliveries and stabilize newborns
Manage ventilators including Aveya, bubble CPAP, Vapotherm, and oscillator
Administer IV drips and monitor complex medications
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including neonatologists and respiratory therapists
Educate and support families through their NICU journey

Qualifications

Active RN license in California or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of NICU experience, level 3 preferred
Travel experience preferred
Skills: Cerner EMR, attending deliveries, cooling experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of neonatal intensive care for all gestational ages
Proficient in Cerner electronic medical records
Experience with cooling protocols for neonatal encephalopathy
Bilingual Spanish preferred for patient communication
Ability to float to L&D and postpartum to care for newborns
