Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to patients in our ICU and CVICU, including monitoring hemodynamics, titrating complex vasoactive drips, and managing ventilators.
• Collaborate with intensivists and the healthcare team to deliver evidence-based care for conditions such as sepsis, myocardial infarction, and post-surgical recovery.
• Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills to ensure patient safety and timely interventions.
• Participate in rapid response and code blue situations as part of a dedicated team.
• Educate patients and families on critical care procedures and recovery expectations.
• Float to PCU and MST units as needed to support staffing and patient care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Strong EKG and dysrhythmia recognition skills
• Experience with IABP and CRRT preferred
• Ability to titrate multiple critical care drips
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% within two attempts

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in critical care nursing including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and IV therapy
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Knowledge of Cerner charting system preferred
• Familiarity with Nihon Kohden telemetry monitors
• Competency in using glidescope and other intubation equipment
