Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, with some weekday flexibility

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive respiratory care to ICU, med-surg, and telemetry patients
Perform breathing treatments, ABGs, EKGs, and ventilator management
Administer non-invasive ventilation (NIV) and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy
Implement respiratory therapy driven protocols for conditions like COPD, Asthma, PNA, and CHF
Collaborate with hospitalist and multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RRT license by the state of California (CRT not accepted)
Minimum 2-5 years of critical care experience as a Respiratory Therapist
Previous travel experience required
Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
Proficiency with Cerner EMR

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in ventilator management (Hamilton, G5, C1, MR1, Galileo's)
Strong understanding of respiratory therapy driven protocols
Skill in ABG interpretation, NIV, HFNC, IPV, and PEP/PAP therapy
Familiarity with GE Telemetry systems
Ability to float to all units except NICU
