Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, monitor patient condition, and promptly report changes
• Assist nursing staff with basic clinical tasks and safe patient transfers
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Follow infection control procedures and uphold patient dignity and privacy
• Support a calm, respectful environment to help patients feel comfortable and safe

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in California
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred
• Per diem availability and willingness to work a 12-hour day shift
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate required
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with basic infection control and patient safety protocols
• Good charting and handoff communication with nursing staff
• Able to perform safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
