Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers, following proper body mechanics
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control best practices
• Document patient interactions and care accurately in the chart or EHR
• Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists, and family members to coordinate care
• Actively participate in patient care planning and follow assigned care plans

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in California (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on facility)
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic clinical tasks
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to pass background and health screenings as required by facility
• Reliable transportation to reach patient locations for per diem assignments

Education

• CNA certificate from an accredited program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs, patient hygiene, and safe transfers
• Basic vital signs assessment and documentation
• Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
• Patient-focused communication and compassionate bedside manner
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Basic charting or EHR entry experience
