Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry patients closely and respond to changes in rhythm or condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and following hospital policies
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize care plans
• Perform timely assessments, document findings accurately in the chart, and communicate handoffs clearly
• Provide patient- and family-centered education and emotional support during admissions and overnight stays
• Participate in rapid response and code events as needed with calm, clinical leadership

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in California (required)
• Experience working on a telemetry unit or with cardiac monitoring (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) highly preferred
• Comfortable managing multiple telemetry patients and responding to acute changes
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — program completion required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation of common arrhythmias
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Prioritization and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Team collaboration, patient advocacy, and clear bedside communication
