Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate telemetry nursing care to adults, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes quickly
- Perform thorough assessments and document patient status clearly and accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely, following orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge needs
- Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license for California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Prior telemetry nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and strong clinical judgment
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV medication administration and infusion management
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking
- Accurate clinical documentation and time management
- Teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
