Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients on MST units
• Perform thorough patient assessments, document findings, and communicate changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor telemetry and intervene appropriately for changes in cardiac rhythms
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and follow facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license in California
• Experience or comfort working on MST/telemetry units preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication skills and a teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• IV therapy, medication administration, and post-procedure care
• Patient assessment, wound care, and vital sign interpretation
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Critical thinking, delegation, and time management
• Customer-focused bedside manner and patient education
