Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment
• Triage and assess patients of all acuities, from abdominal pain to trauma and stroke
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage standard ER drips
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including techs, RTs, and charge nurses
• Interpret telemetry strips and perform point-of-care lab testing
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain accurate documentation in EPIC

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (must obtain CO license prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
• Current certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS or ENPC, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Ability to float within a 60-mile zone to other ERs in the region
• Comfortable with 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity
• EPIC charting proficiency preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in emergency situations
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Experience with trauma, stroke, and STEMI patients
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability to a dynamic and high-volume ER (average 150 patients/day)
• Willingness to participate in unit secretary and triage support duties as needed
