Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions for patients within the psychiatric program
• Deliver individual and group therapy tailored to correctional mental health populations
• Collaborate closely with psychiatric, medical, and correctional staff to develop coordinated treatment plans
• Document clinical findings, progress notes, and treatment recommendations accurately and timely
• Participate in the 2-week training program to align with facility protocols and safety procedures
• Support crisis intervention and risk assessment efforts as needed to maintain a safe therapeutic environment

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred; master’s-level clinicians with appropriate credentials may be considered
• Active state license or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist in California
• Experience or interest in psychiatric program work, forensic settings, or correctional mental health
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities
• Ability to complete required background checks and facility onboarding

Education
