Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic impressions
• Deliver individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches
• Develop and participate in treatment planning that improves patient outcomes
• Perform timely crisis intervention and risk assessments when needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and correctional staff to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and standards

Qualifications

• Active license as a Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) candidates noted as coverage option for certain schedules
• Clinical experience in mental health settings; correctional or forensic experience is a strong plus
• Comfort working within a correctional facility environment and adhering to facility procedures
• Strong assessment, documentation, and therapeutic skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Skilled in evidence-based therapies (for example cognitive behavioral approaches)
• Crisis intervention and risk assessment expertise
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Professional documentation and electronic health record proficiency
• Trauma-informed care and behavioral health best practices
