Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical function and design individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise programs to restore mobility
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions to maximize patient outcomes
• Document assessments, plans, and progress clearly and timely
• Collaborate with nursing, OT, MDs and other team members to coordinate care
• Provide patient and family education to support safe discharge and home programs
• Maintain safety and professionalism working within the facility’s protocols

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in California or eligible to obtain CA licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfort working in a structured medical facility environment
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
• Ability to pass background checks and required facility clearances
• Professional, team-oriented attitude and reliable attendance

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in PT considered if credentialed

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise
• Experience with mobility, balance, gait training and functional task retraining
• Familiarity with documentation systems and insurance/clinical documentation standards
• Good communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Safe patient handling techniques and ability to work with diverse adult populations
