Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including hygiene, mobility assistance, and comfort measures
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and positioning to maintain dignity and prevent injury
• Support the interdisciplinary team by communicating patient needs and completing assigned tasks accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (California) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtain upon hire
• Comfort working overnight shifts and in fast-paced clinical settings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; must hold current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, documentation
• Fundamental infection control and patient safety practices
• Comfort with patient lifting/transfers and use of assistive devices
• Observational skills to notice changes in patient condition
• Time management and reliability for per diem scheduling
• Compassionate bedside manner and cultural sensitivity
