Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform detailed obstetric sonography including anatomical surveys and fetal growth assessments
• Conduct fetal echocardiograms and biophysical profiles (BPP) with precision
• Obtain and interpret umbilical artery Dopplers and first-trimester/transvaginal studies
• Provide ultrasound guidance for procedures such as amniocentesis
• Chart clear, timely reports in Epic and document images in Viewpoint
• Operate and optimize imaging on systems including GE E10 and Expert 22
• Collaborate directly with in-office MFM providers to ensure high-quality patient care
• Limit and prioritize complex scans appropriately while maintaining patient safety and comfort

Qualifications

• RDMS in OB/GYN (ARDMS) required
• BLS (AHA) current
• Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience, ideally with MFM exposure
• Fetal echo (FE) experience preferred
• Comfortable using Epic and Viewpoint charting systems
• Experience with GE E10 and Expert 22 or similar ultrasound platforms
• Ability to manage a restricted caseload (limit of complex scans) and follow departmental protocols

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of obstetric ultrasound imaging and protocols
• Skilled in detailed anatomical survey techniques and fetal echocardiography
• Proficient with Doppler assessment, transvaginal and first-trimester imaging
• Experience providing ultrasound guidance for invasive procedures (e.g., amniocentesis)
• Clear communication skills for collaborating with MFM providers and counseling patients
• Comfortable with electronic charting (Epic) and departmental imaging systems (Viewpoint)
