Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult patients with acute and chronic conditions
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to arrhythmias and alarms
• Administer medications safely and document treatments accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Perform thorough assessments and escalate changes in patient condition to providers
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Current RN license in California (or compact license if applicable)
• Telemetry experience preferred; comfort with cardiac monitoring and interpretation
• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and responding to urgent changes
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
• Strong teamwork, clinical judgment, and patient-centered communication
