Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, block scheduling, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to newborns in Level 2 NICU and postpartum mothers
Attend deliveries and provide immediate newborn assessment and stabilization
Manage IV therapy, including start and maintenance
Administer respiratory support such as Bubble CPAP and Hiflow
Assist with and maintain umbilical lines
Flex between SCN and postpartum assignments as needed

Qualifications

Current RN license in Washington state
NRP and BLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU Level 2 and postpartum nursing preferred
Proficiency in attending deliveries as baby nurse
Skills in IV start and maintenance, CPAP, Hiflow, and umbilical line management

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of neonatal care protocols
IV therapy and medication administration
Respiratory support equipment (CPAP, Bipap, Hiflow)
Patient assessment and critical thinking
Team collaboration and communication
