Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to neuro telemetry patients in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma center
Monitor telemetry and interpret EKG rhythms to detect changes
Titrate critical drips including Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform assessments and interventions for conditions like CVA, TBI, and spinal surgery
Maintain sterile field during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent neuro telemetry experience
Pass the dysrhythmia exam prior to start
Comfortable with sterile field and bedside procedures
Reliable transportation and ability to travel

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry and EKG interpretation skills
Proficient in titration of cardiac and insulin drips
Experience with Cerner EMR
Excellent assessment and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
