Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes every 3rd weekend and 3 of 6 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Monitor and manage complex conditions including prematurity, cardiac defects, and surgical needs
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal outcomes
Perform advanced skills such as central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion
Support families through education and emotional care during their infant's stay
Float to mother-baby and labor care units as needed (babies only)

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of NICU experience, with Level 4 experience strongly preferred
Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
BLS, NRP, and Cardiac STABLE certifications required
Must live or relocate within 50 miles of the facility (driver's license verified)
Comfortable with sterile technique and SIMs lab skills (Foley and central line dressing changes)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Knowledge of Philips telemetry systems
Understanding of ventilator management (RT handles, but RNs collaborate)
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for high-acuity neonates
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced Level 4 NICU
