Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with shorter shifts; every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including oncology and trauma patients in a fast-paced PCU/MedSurg unit
Monitor and titrate drips such as heparin and cardizem, administer chemotherapy (with certification), and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Ensure hourly rounding and patient safety
Float to other PCU and MedSurg units as needed

Qualifications

1 year of experience in PCU, Oncology, or MedSurg nursing
Must have Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC)
BLS and ACLS required
First-time travelers welcome
Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% on orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in EPIC EMR
Experience with Alaris IV pumps
Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
Ventilator management
Chemotherapy administration
Handling of common drips
