Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, varied 8-hour shifts between 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM, with occasional weekends and one weekday off when working a weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments across acute care units including MedSurg, Tele, ICU, Oncology, and Cardiology
Manage orthopedic and total joint replacement patients with evidence-based interventions
Deliver therapy to ventilator-dependent patients in the ICU, ensuring safe mobilization
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Document patient progress accurately using Cerner EMR
Hit the ground running with minimal orientation, handling a diverse caseload independently

Qualifications

Valid California Physical Therapy license required
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Demonstrated experience with orthopedic rehabilitation, total joint replacements, and ICU/ventilator patients
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care physical therapy across MedSurg, Tele, ICU, Oncology, and Cardiology
Orthopedic rehabilitation and total joint replacement protocols
Ventilator management and ICU patient care
Proficiency with Cerner EMR system
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Time management and ability to prioritize in a busy setting
