Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights including every other weekend. Typical shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Self-scheduling available.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population on a 28-bed PCU/Med Surg/Oncology unit
Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and cardizem, and administer chemotherapy (if certified)
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and dieticians
Perform hourly rounding and patient education to ensure a positive patient experience
Float to Med Surg and PCU units as needed within your scope of practice
Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation and care coordination

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, Med Surg, or Oncology nursing experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
First-time travelers welcome to apply
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Must pass an open-book exam during orientation with a 90% or above
Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ACLS, BLS, and ONS/ONCC certification
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred
Ability to titrate common drips (heparin, cardizem, insulin)
Comfortable with chemotherapy administration and oncology patient care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
