Location: Garrison, North Dakota

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as charge nurse for a 26-bed long-term care facility
Administer medications and perform wound care treatments
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and communicate with families
Monitor residents with chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and dementia
Ensure compliance with facility policies and state regulations
Provide leadership and guidance to nursing assistants

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of long-term care experience
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and rotate weekends/holidays
No acute care clinical involvement required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in long-term care nursing and medication management
Proficiency in wound care and resident assessment
Knowledge of EMR systems (Matrix preferred)
Strong organizational and charge nurse abilities
Compassionate, patient-centered approach
