Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, including every 3rd weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to MedSurg and Emergency Department patients, from swing bed level to critical/trauma
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients with efficiency and compassion
Titrate medications and manage IVs, PICC lines, and ports
Participate in codes: cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis, and respond to traumas
Float between MedSurg and ER as needed, ensuring seamless patient care
Read and document EKGs, monitor telemetry, and communicate directly with hospitalists

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Minnesota
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of Emergency Department experience
Ability to work independently with minimal staff and adapt quickly

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Meditech EMR
Skilled in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Experience with IV starts, PICC/Ports, and titrating drips (insulin, amiodarone, etc.)
Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and flight transport procedures
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
