Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and follow strict radiation safety procedures
• Document patient care and imaging studies accurately in EPIC charting system
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain equipment, adhere to regulatory and facility policies, and wear provided radiation badge
• Provide compassionate patient care, including proper patient positioning and education
• Participate in on-call rotation and support weekend coverage as scheduled

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB required
• BLS certification required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience preferred/required
• Driver's license required at submission (used to verify radius eligibility)
• DOT certification preferred at initial contract and required if extended within 90 days
• Willingness to follow facility patient-care policies (for example, no artificial nails in patient-care areas)

Education

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Formal training in nuclear medicine or radiologic technology preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and dose management
• Experience or willingness to train on Siemens PET/CT Biograph Vision and Siemens E.CAM
• Proficient charting and workflow in EPIC
• Excellent patient communication and positioning skills
• Ability to follow protocols, maintain documentation, and work in an acute care setting
