Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy assistance to support patient functional goals
• Deliver patient-centered care, adapting interventions to individual needs
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document treatment plans and patient progress clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families to promote independence and safe home routines
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute clinical insights

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• Ability to work as a COTA in Montana (current license or ability to obtain licensure)
• Comfortable providing hands-on patient care in a variety of clinical settings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clinicians and families
• Willingness to complete any required onboarding, background checks, and facility-specific training

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of occupational therapy interventions and adaptive techniques
• Skilled at functional assessments and implementing treatment plans
• Competent documentation practices and ability to use clinical record systems
• Good clinical judgment with a focus on patient safety and outcomes
• Ability to teach and motivate patients and caregivers
