Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility to reduce fall risk
• Document care thoroughly and communicate observations to nurses and supervisors
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control policies
• Collaborate with the care team to support individualized patient plans

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• Active state CNA license or certification as required by California
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable performing patient care tasks and working in fast-paced settings
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plans
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work per-diem shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Teamwork mindset and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing patient needs
