Surgical Tech – UHC Staffing

Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 8-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM; 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM; 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (weekends only), with 1-2 weeknight calls per week from 3:15 PM - 6:45 AM and weekend calls every 3-4 weeks from Friday 3:15 PM - Monday 6:45 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms with precision and care for every procedure
Assist surgeons as a skilled second pair of hands during complex cases
Maintain sterile technique to keep patients safe and surgeries running smoothly
Collaborate with a close-knit OR team that feels like family
Float and cross-train across specialties to expand your expertise
Support the unit as a 1:1 sitter when census is low to keep hours steady

Qualifications

Current CST or NCCT certification
BLS certification
North Dakota UAP registration
At least 1 year of OR experience in either Ortho/Neuro or General/Robotics
Willingness to float and cross-train across specialties

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Ortho, Neuro, General, or Robotics procedures
Comfortable with Davinci XI, ION Robot, and Stryker towers
Strong sterile technique and attention to detail
Ability to respond to 15-minute call within the required timeframe
Team player who thrives in a family-like department atmosphere
