Location: Northridge, California

Start Date: 06-16-2026

End Date: 09-15-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Varies depending on assignment, typically 8-hour shifts with start times varying; possible schedules include Wednesday-Sunday or Thursday-Monday

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Perform bedside swallow studies and video swallowing studies
Collaborate with rehab aides and therapy assistants to deliver comprehensive care
Float to assigned areas and support inpatient, outpatient, or rehab settings as needed
Document patient progress using Cerner Powerchart EMR
Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and recovery goals

Qualifications

Current CCC-SLP certification required
BLS certification required
At least 1 year of experience preferred; inpatient clinical experience may be considered
Travel experience and trauma experience are a plus
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Experience with stroke, TBI, neuro, trauma, and cognitive impairments
Skilled in bedside swallow studies and video swallowing studies
Comfortable floating between inpatient, outpatient, and rehab settings
Proficient with Cerner Powerchart EMR
Strong communication and collaboration skills
