Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring patients with 1:1 ratios during active labor
Monitor and titrate critical medications including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Deliver comprehensive postpartum and antepartum nursing care
Support patients through post-surgical GYN procedures and high-risk pregnancies
Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain excellent patient outcomes
Educate and support new mothers with breastfeeding guidance

Qualifications

Active RN license with minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong clinical skills in titration of drips and obstetric care
Valid driver's license required at time of application
Ability to pass skills-based exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in labor and delivery, postpartum, and antepartum care
Proficiency with titration of Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia drips
Understanding of AWHONN staffing guidelines and best practices
Knowledge of caring for patients with hypertension and diabetes in pregnancy
Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
