Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, self-scheduling with 2 weekends required per 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to telemetry, surgical, and neuro patients on a 48-bed unit
Interpret cardiac telemetry strips and document findings each shift
Collaborate with charge nurses and nursing assistants to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Support patients recovering from general, orthopedic, and spinal surgeries
Monitor and care for patients with CVA, TIA, respiratory, GI, and diabetic conditions
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to expand your clinical experience

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Background in general and orthopedic surgical patient care preferred
Familiarity with CVA and TIA patient management
Cerner experience recommended

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and strip documentation
Care for COVID, respiratory, GI, and diabetic patients
Post-surgical recovery support for orthopedic and spinal cases
Remote telemetry monitoring collaboration
Cerner electronic health record navigation
