Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-27-2026

End Date: 08-26-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on physical therapy to a diverse caseload of 12+ patients daily
Support recovery for patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general medical conditions
Deliver care across Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER units
Collaborate with rehab aides and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Complete thorough evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
Educate patients and families on safe mobility and home exercise programs

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience required
Comfortable working across multiple hospital units including ICU and ER

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
Ability to manage a fast-paced inpatient caseload
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with common orthopedic and neurological diagnoses
