Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients on a specialized MedSurg/Tele unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alerts
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psych MDs and behavior health techs
Support patients with both medical and behavioral health needs in a safe environment
Float to ED psych holds or other MedSurg floors as needed to support the facility
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
Participate in skills validation including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent MedSurg/Tele experience in a Level 1 trauma facility with 600+ beds
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Psych experience is a plus but not required
Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start (two attempts allowed)
Ability to complete pass/fail SIMs Lab on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Comfort working with patients who have secondary psychiatric diagnoses
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
Ability to maintain sterile field during procedures
Team-oriented with flexibility to float as needed
