Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients from diagnosis through remission or peaceful transitions
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
Float to other PCU and MedSurg units while maintaining high-quality care standards
Utilize EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps to document and deliver care efficiently

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000, ICP) welcomed and can be trained
Valid driver's license required at submittal for radius verification
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of Omaha and have no prior employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Strong teamwork and genuine compassion for diverse patient populations
Comfort with chemotherapy administration and oncology care pathways
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Willingness to work with cultural, religious, and economic diversity
Proficiency with EPIC charting and Alaris pumps
Flexibility to float within same level of care
