Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 8-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; weekend shifts 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with 1-2 weeknight calls 3:15 PM - 6:45 AM and weekend calls every 3-4 weeks Friday 3:15 PM - Monday 6:45 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during a wide range of procedures including robotics, ortho, neuro, and general cases
Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for each case
Maintain sterile technique and support patient safety throughout every procedure
Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced environment
Float to other specialties or provide 1:1 patient sitting support when needed
Participate in orientation and buddy call shifts to ensure smooth integration into the team

Qualifications

Current CST or NCCT certification required
BLS certification required
ND UAP registration required
Minimum 1 year of OR experience in either Ortho/Neuro or General/Robotics
Willingness to float and cross-train across specialties
Ability to respond to call within 15 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with DaVinci Xi robotics and ION robotic systems
Experience with open belly, GYN, total joints, sports medicine, and spinal procedures
Strong sterile technique and OR protocols
Ability to adapt quickly to changing case volumes and assignments
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
