Location: Garden City, Kansas

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with evening, weekend, and holiday call required; 30-minute call response time

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional perioperative care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures
Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure smooth, safe operations
Prepare operating rooms and equipment for cases including robotic and GI procedures
Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond quickly during on-call situations
Document patient information accurately using Epic EMR
Support new staff during orientation to help everyone feel confident and capable

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact license
BLS certification required
Previous OR experience preferred
Robot and GI experience is a plus
Ability to take call with a 30-minute response time

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of Epic EMR documentation
Comfortable working in a 4-OR suite with 10 cases per day on average
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to remain calm and focused during on-call situations
Familiarity with common cases such as robot/lap chole, hernia, appys, basic ortho, gyn, and podiatry
